"The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera"

"Dorothea Lange

My video production career started at a very young age. I was only 15 years old when I received my first camera, a Minolta Weathermatic underwater camera while at summer camp. That little yellow camera was the beginning of my future career as a filmmaker. I remember seeing the ad for the camera and I was captivated.
As a child growing up in a small town in Florida, I never realized how my name would coincide with my future career as a photographer and film director.
I slowly upgraded to a Canon T-60 camera and my favorite thing was to capture concerts..In early 90s, my new obsession was the Bolex, 16mm non reflex camera. It was the first of many other Bolex cameras I now have in my vintage collection.

Over the years I have put together a massive collection of vintage cameras and lenses and I have combined these classic tools with the latest in digital and Hi-Def technology to create a perfect formula for the highest broadcast quality film & video production.I was hired to film LIVE Metallica New Year’s Eve 2000 among many other childhood idols, including Billy Joel, the B-52’s, and ZZ Top.
When it comes to Netflix approved cameras I have a Panasonic BGH-1 cinema camera that allows me to create the captivating look of motion picture film for the big screen.

My camera collection brought me to Music Row…

I remember the very first time when I heard about the Music Row area in Nashville, TN. I had just finished college and was living in Pensacola, Florida when a friend first told me about Music City, USA. To say I was intrigued about the opportunity, would be an understatement. Without a single connection in the music business and desperately looking for a job I moved to Nashville. I made Music Row my new home, a place where small business area locals and music industry professionals worked and lived. This historic district became the heart of Nashville's entertainment industry. Back then, in the early 90s life was different and simple. It was quite possible to meet the coolest people in the music world, and I was fortunate to make my own way and work with the most brilliant and talented artists for the next 30 years.
To this day, I have kept my vintage cameras and lenses to simply adapt them to my Netflix approved cinema camera package I currently operate. My equipment list is extensive as you could see and completely adds to the artistic value I strive to get in every production providing me with many different in-camera looks. As a film veteran, I still find myself continually learning about new technologies and how to apply them to current video productions so that I can continue to perfect my craft.
In the 1990's, Nashville was the place to build a successful video production and filming career in the country music industry and I was fortunate enough to work on many large productions as a 2nd Unit Cinematographer. You would find me filming music videos with my vintage Bolex 16mm motion picture cameras on some of the biggest productions Nashville had at the time. These experiences allowed me to shoot thousands of feet of film allowing me the best opportunity to gain invaluable experience and master my skills.
Over the years I have put together my video & motion picture film production portfolio and you can access some of my work right on our website:
